I'm sitting here at work reading through TTNet and an idea occured to me for something we have never done on here before to my knowledge at least; a photo contest. Since its summer and the weather is arguably the most universally condusive to getting out and shooting it seems like the perfect time of year. I am also thinking that this could be a good tie in for the 2007 Z32 wall calendar, getting Z owners motivated and out shooting. I'm curious to see if this is something that may interest the community as a whole. The way I see it, we would set an established date and time frame to post our submissions to a thread, each photographer being limited to 3 shots, scaled to a resolution no greater than 800x600. Then all of the shots would be collected and posted in a poll for the whole community to vote on. Multiple polls and rounds may be needed to work through them all. Not sure what everyone would want to set as the reward for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places but I know I would be willing to throw some free calendars, posters etc.. in the pot. Dunno, may be a crazy idea but it seemed like it may be rewarding and fun to me, we do something like this on our local Tampa board with a different theme each month and its proven to be alot of fun, but then again I am a photo whore.
